Open House – Walking tours of Dublin Port Heritage

Join Anthony Finnegan to uncover Dublin Port’s history. The walking tour reveals the restored substation & original east wall remains. Explore Dublin Port’s rich history dating back to 1707 on an immersive walking tour. Delve beyond the precinct and pump house to witness the restored substation and original east wall, guided by Anthony Finnegan. Discover the evolution of communities, industries, and the vibrant legacy they’ve left behind.


The tour begins at the Substation, located at the junction of East Wall Road and Alexandra Road. Limited parking is available at Dublin Port Centre. The tour will also include the maritime garden, which has steps.


Dublin Port Company will provide audio systems for the tours, offering disposable headphones. Feel free to bring your own if you prefer, but please note they should have a jack plug as the device doesn’t work with wireless headphones.
