The Substation – Temporary Pedestrian Access Diversion

Please note that a temporary pedestrian diversion is currently in place on East Wall Road due to ongoing works.

The pedestrian crossing directly outside The Substation, at East Wall Road / Alexandra Road, is temporarily closed until 2 October 2026.

The Substation remains accessible to visitors and all scheduled events will continue as planned.

Pedestrian and cyclists access

Please follow the appropriate route below when walking to The Substation. The temporary routes are also shown on the interactive map.

From The Point

If you are approaching from The Point, follow the pedestrian route towards East Wall Road and continue north towards Dublin Port.

Use the pedestrian crossing before reaching The Substation, then continue along the footpath to the Substation entrance.

From East Wall Road

If you are approaching from East Wall Road, continue south along East Wall Road towards Sheriff Street Upper.

Cross East Wall Road near the Sheriff Street Upper junction, then continue north along the opposite footpath to reach The Substation.

Please do not attempt to use the pedestrian crossing directly outside The Substation, as this crossing is currently closed.

Limited bicycle parking is available next to The Substation.

Arriving by Car

Please note that there is no visitor parking available at The Substation.
